Last year at my mom’s, I replaced her garage door seal and thought I’d share the process. If your bottom seal is worn out, here’s how to swap it.  First, check if you have a single or dual track retainer. Mine was falling apart, so I disengaged the opener, clamped the door, and removed the self-tapping screws to detach the track - not all doors have this feature. The old seal slid off easily since it was brittle and compressed. I cleared the track with a flathead screwdriver and sprayed silicone lubricant to help the new U-shaped tear-drop seal slide in. Some doors take a T-style, so match yours before buying. The ends can have different thicknesses. Sliding in the new seal is the toughest part, but silicone helps. If your track isn’t removable, you’ll need to install it with the door raised. If you have extra slack, just fold the ends before securing everything back in place and crimp the track. And just like that, we’re back in action. Hope this helps - talk to you guys soon!
