Be sure to bookmark this video so you can refer back to these instructions when you’re ready to make your stickers! 😊 Step 1: Upload your file from your computer to Cricut Design Space **Make sure the background has been removed from your image. You can use remove.bg (a FREE background remover) to do this if needed. Step 2: Once your file is in Design Space, select your image and click “Offset” from the menu at the top of the screen. This will create that border around your image that makes it look like a sticker. You can adjust the size of your offset to whatever you’d like, but I usually use 0.18 inches. **The default color for the offset is black. If you want a different color, select your offset (click on it from the canvas, or select it in the Layers panel on the right) and then go to the color square at the top of the screen just to the right of the “Operation” tab (where it says “print then cut”), and choose a new color. Step 3: Selectyour original image and the offset (they’ll both be shaded in the layers panel), and select “Flatten” from the bottom right in the layers panel. This will press your image and offset together so your machine only cuts around the offset outline (and doesn’t try to cut your original image out of the offset). Step 4: Resize your sticker (optional). You can change the width and height from the top menu (click the lock button to unlock the aspect ratio if you want to enter specific measurements). Step 5: Once your sticker is ready, you can duplicate it (click the square with the + sign in the layers panel) or you can upload new images and make stickers with those, so you have multiple stickers on your sticker sheet. Cricut will let you print up to a 9.25” x 6.75” area. To make sure you’re filling as much of that space as possible without extending over it, I recommend uploading a square from the Shapes menu on the side of the canvas. Resize it (remember to unlock the aspect ratio in the size menu so you can do this) to 9.25” x 6.75”. Then move your rectangle to the back (select it in the Layers panel and drag it to the bottom of the layers, or click on “Arrange” from the top menu and select “Send to back”) and use that as a template to arrange your stickers on. **Once you have your stickers arranged, be sure to delete the rectangle so it doesn’t get printed with your stickers. Step 6: Once your sticker sheet is ready, select all of your stickers and click “Attach” from the bottom of the layers panel. This will connect your images so they print just like they’re layed out on your screen. Step 7: Click “Make”. Preview your sticker sheet, hit Continue, and then “Send to Printer”. **Make sure you turn OFF the bleed. I also like to select “Use System Dialog” to change my paper type and print quality settings. Since I use matte sticker paper, I select “Other matte inkjet paper” and change my print quality to “best”. Step 8: Print your sticker sheet. Step 9 (optional): Cover your sticker page with a lamination sheet (I use the Avery laminating sheets). **Be sure to cut your lamination sheet so it fits within the registration lines. Cricut has a hard time reading the registration lines on glossy surfaces, so cutting your lamination sheet so it doesn’t cover those lines will help your machine know where to cut. *** IF your machine still has problems reading the lines, cover the corners with matte scotch tape, go over them with a black sharpie and send your sheet through again. Step 10: Cut your stickers. Use a standard grip mat (the green one) and the “poster board” cut setting on your Cricut machine.
